
Pheobe riley Law
Pheobe riley Law is a soundscapes, sound and multidisciplinary artist currently based in Newcastle and Hull. Her work often explores the documentation and transformation of materials including sound, text, fabric, movement, film and reformatted objects. Her most recent project, 'Herd' focuses on the division between humans and other species, looking into our cultures around and attitudes towards cattle, dairy agriculture and urban wildlife. Through each of the artforms she is engaged with, Pheobe is interested in dismantling and reframing narratives and subverting perceived normalities. To date she has had her work featured by, among others, The Baltic (Gateshead), LevelOne Gallery Hamburg (Germany), Paradise Air (Japan), Iklectik and Cafe Oto (London) as well as BBC Radio 3.
